GW is implementing a new, consistent grading policy. To provide a clearer understanding of the gradebook for you, all teachers will be categorizing graded material into two categories: process & product. In the visual arts department, process will be weighted at 50% and product will be weighted at 50%. We believe both areas are equally important in the art-making world.

- Students have 3 weeks beyond due-date to complete work.
- Due-dates are listed in the project page or daily page, for each specific assignment.
- No penalties are given for late-work. If you demonstrate mastery, you earn the points.
- If 3 weeks pass and no assignment is turned in, the student will earn no points for that assignment.
